Description: The Fair Isle sample we will work on is worked in stranded knitting using Shetland jumper weight wool and US #2 circular needles or double points - the garment, a 6" vest for a teddy bear or doll, will provide an ample introduction to several techniques including chart reading, steeks using a single crochet method and attached i-cord. All materials are available at the shop for purchase. |

Description: Learn the basics of lace knitting while creating a beautiful lacy shawl. This is done on worsted to aran weight yarn on an appropriate sized circular needle. Description: This is a workshop that will focus on your garments &/or projects that have been completed, blocked, but not yet sewn together. Come in for hand holding and instruction for picking up for a button band, matching stripes, putting in a sleeve. If you are not quite done with a project bring in about four swatches to practice techniques for finishing. |

Prior experience working in the round with either double points or magic loop will be very helpful. Stop by the shop, purchase the ornament pattern book, yarn, and beads prior to class so you "pre-string" your beads and come to class as an introduction to beading in a painless way! |
