Inside, you’ll find patterns for sweaters and accessories, using a wide variety of knitting techniques. Cables, brioche, stranded colorwork, and intarsia all keep the knitting interesting, and offer opportunities to try something new.

These blue sweaters all feature fisherman’s rib, a springy, lofty stitch pattern that looks something like brioche. I love seeing a series of designs each interpreting the stitch pattern in a different way; it speaks to the endless variation that keeps knitting interesting year in and year out.

There’s some interesting reading in this issue, too, taking the form of a profile of designer Kate Davies, as well as an article on colorwork tams by Meg Swansen.
