Harlow Two-Color Brioche Hat

Saturdays: March 9, 2019, 3:00 - 5:00pm; March 23, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon; April 13th, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.
Learn the cozy brioche stitch, which creates a double layer fabric that's both light and warm and completely reversible. This class will teach you a two-color tubular cast-on, the brioche knit and purl stitches, as well as brioche decreases.
Experience: Students should be comfortable with casting on, knitting, purling, and knitting in the round.
Materials:
For learning in the first class:
  • A small amount each of two highly-contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn
  • US size 5, 6, or 7 16-inch circular needle
  • Stitch marker
For the Harlow Hat:
  • "Harlow," by Andrea Mowry, available to purchase from Ravelry or here at the shop as a Ravelry In-Store Sale.
  • Fingering weight wool in 2 contrasting colors, at least 30 grams each.
  • Size US 2/2.75 mm - 16”/40 cm circular
  • Size US 3/3.25 mm - 16”/40 cm circular
  • Size US 3/3.25 mm - DPNs (or a longer circular for magic loop)
  • Stitch marker
  • Tapestry needle

Class Policy -

  • Refunds for pre-paid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
  • Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor was unable to teach or the shop was closed for inclement weather.
  • Refunds for missed classes cannot be made.
