Lace and stockinette: Marigold Cardigan

Instructor: Marsha Krzyzewski

Saturdays: August 24, September 7, October 12, November 2, and December 7, 2019; 1:00-3:00 pm.

Join Marsha in knitting Cecily Glowik MacDonald's "Marigold," a simple stockinette cardigan with a lace panel up the back. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the bottom up; first the body is knit flat, then sleeves are picked up and knit in the round. Marsha will teach chart-reading, short row shaping at the sleeve caps, working sleeves in the round on double pointed needles, and three needle bind-off or kitchener stitch for the back neck.
Students should come with some lace-knitting experience; consider Marsha's Lace Basics class if this technique is brand new for you - we have sessions of that one-time class coming up in July and August. Some experience with DPNs will make the sleeve easier to knit, as well.
