We’ve always been a brick and mortar yarn shop, believing in the importance of seeing and handling materials in person before purchasing. We’ve never had an online store for this reason, and starting one now is a monumental task that can’t happen overnight. However, while our storefront is closed, we are happy to take mail orders so we can continue to connect our community with the yarn and tools we love to work with.
How to order? If there’s something particular you’re looking for, you can request it by filling out our online order form. Our blog and Instagram give a good sense of the yarns and other products we carry, and right now, that’s the best way to see what we have available. If you don’t have a particular yarn brand or color in mind, however, don’t hesitate to reach out – we’re happy to answer questions and make recommendations, as ever!
This past few weeks, we’ve answered questions like “Can you recommend bright colors for a ‘Nightshift’ shawl?” and “Which fingering weight yarns do you have 300 grams of in light neutral colors?” and “What colors of Cascade Nifty Cotton do you have on hand?” We take our time with questions like these, making thoughtful suggestions, checking our inventory, taking photos, and annotating them with color names or numbers.
Expect a delay between placing your order and hearing back from us; we’ll have to manually check our inventory, prepare a Paypal invoice, and so on. We will try to match your requests, however several of our suppliers are no longer shipping and we may not have the ability to special order.
We do have a few new policies for mail orders, regarding shipping costs, returns, and Frequent Buyer cards – read them over before you order, so we can all be on the same page.
We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to shopping for yarn and supplies, and we especially appreciate your support of our shop during this uncertain time. Thank you so much for your order!
