Back in stock: Binkwaffle bags.

Once again, we’ve replenished our dwindling supply of Binkwaffle bags, those colorful, reversible, dumpling-shaped bags that have quickly become everyone’s favorite.

The large Binkwaffle bags have been particularly sought after of late, so I thought I’d post that they’re back in stock at the moment; come by soon to claim one before they disappear again! A large Binkwaffle bag is roomy enough to accommodate a big wrap, baby blanket, or sweater in progress. The small size, on the other hand, is a perfect way to tote a hat, sock, cowl, or pair of mitts in progress. You might just have to have one of each…

The small bags are a good size for a pair of socks or mitts, a hat or scarf, perhaps. The large bags are big enough for a generous shawl or even a sweater.

Each order has brought new fabric combinations, and no two in this batch are the same.

I’m so happy to report that Binkwaffle bags are back in stock!

Our first batch of Binkwaffle project bags sold out in no time, thanks to their clever reversible design and whimsical prints. This next group is a mix of small and large bags, each one a unique combination of fabrics. That means there’s only one of each here at the shop, and we can’t guarantee that the same fabrics will be available next time we order; it’s a fun surprise to see what Holly at Binkwaffle comes up with next!

See you at the shop!

Binkwaffle bags.

Some months ago, a knitter came into the shop with a very cool project bag. It was dumpling-shaped, reversible, made of sturdy, soft cotton fabric in fun colors. Everyone in the shop admired it, so I jotted the brand name down: Binkwaffle. I’m happy to report that we now carry those very cool Binkwaffle project bags here at the shop, in small and large sizes.

We visited the Binkwaffle booth at TNNA and picked out four color combinations to start with.

The small size is perfect for carrying a shawl-in-progress, or pair of socks, while the larger size is big enough for a good-sized sweater.

New from Lantern Moon.

Every so often, we place an order with Lantern Moon, a company that supports artisans in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bali, Indonesia. Their handcrafted tools and accessories are as aesthetically pleasing as they are functional, perfectly suited to knitters and crocheters, who seem to love their tools along with their craft. This order brought rice baskets, silk project bags, elegant scissors, and one special stand-up caddy.

It was the caddy that brought this order on, a special request from a young woman hoping to replace her mother’s broken knitting caddy as a holiday gift. We’re always happy to fulfill special orders when we can, and this was no exception; we ordered an extra caddy in case it was someone else’s perfect gift, too.

Look for these and other Lantern Moon goodies by the front window of the shop, amongst the needle cases, project bags, and notions. See you there!
